Welcome to Hosanna Seek and Save OVC Centre: Nurturing Lives, Inspiring Futures

Located in the heart of the Shabalala trust area, just outside Hazyview town in Mpumalanga province, the OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) Day Care Center at Hosanna is a sanctuary of hope and support. Every day, bright-eyed children between the ages of six and fourteen step through our doors, seeking a safe haven where they can thrive and grow.

Within our walls, around eighty children find solace and care, many of whom don’t have both parents living with them. Some are raised by loving grandparents, while others are cared for by a single parent or in child-led households. To these little ones, we are not just a center; we are a family.

At Hosanna, we recognize the importance of nourishing both body and mind. Thanks to the generosity of local farmers and organizations like Hazyview Digital Learning Centre, we provide nutritious daily meals and valuable computer training to these young souls. Our dedicated volunteers further enrich their lives by engaging them in sports, music, art, and various plays, fostering an environment of joy and exploration.

Beyond our walls, we are committed to ensuring the well-being of these precious children extends to their homes and schools. Regular physical and emotional assessments, along with nurse visits to their schools, ensure their health and academic progress remain on track.

AT HOME

However, life outside our center presents challenges. Many of these children live in cramped one-room shacks, lacking basic amenities like proper toilets and consistent access to clean water. Homework becomes a struggle in the absence of electricity. Yet, despite these hardships, these resilient young hearts find immense value in coming to Hosanna. Here, they find support, warmth, and a chance to dream of brighter futures.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our remarkable partners. God’s Glory Ministries International from the United States of America, Lions International in Sweden, and private companies are the pillars of our financial support. We also cherish the generosity of individuals who donate clothes, money, toys, and other essentials, which we distribute to the children and their families.

Clover, in particular, stands out for its invaluable donations of milk and custard, enriching the children’s diets. While these contributions are not always regular, we make every effort to ensure they reach those in need.
